WELCOME to Fjellgruppen - the Norwegian gay mountain
trekking group!
What happens when you combine sporty men, fresh air
and fantastic Norwegian nature? You can find out for yourself
by joining one of our numerous tours. We are currently more
than 200 gay men who love outdoor activities. Together we enjoy
all aspects of the beautiful Norwegian nature. If you're young
or old, experienced or novice, it doesn't really matter. What
counts is our friendship and experiences sharing outdoor activities,
on foot, cross-country skiing, downhill or snowboarding, cycling
and more. In addition we enjoy social activities in urban settings.
Fjellgruppen has a flat organisation. All tours are organised
by the participating members, and all members participate
in our activities at their own risk. We are a non-discriminatory,
non-political and independent group. We have tours in all
seasons, mostly in southern Norway, but we have also been
to Northern Norway, Svalbard, Corsika, the Atlas Mountains
(Morocco) and several European destination. Every second Wednesday
of the month, we meet at a pub/café in central Oslo
to socialize and discuss the next trips.
Our group is open to all interested gay men. You should have
an e-mail account, and know enough Norwegian to clearly understand
the tour information. To become a member, you must pay the
annual membership fee of NOK 175. After payment, you will
get a username and password to log into our web site for detailed
information about activities and tours and access to the sign-up
information.
Fjellgruppen has recently started cooperation with similar
groups abroad with the goal of exchanging tours. To partake
in such tours, you should contact your local club.
